The 2017 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) will be held from May 29 to June 3, 2017 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. ICRA is IEEE Robotics and Automation Society's flagship conference and is a premier international forum for robotics researchers to present their work.


The conference theme, “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Real-world Solutions”, underscores the need for innovative R&D talent, dynamic and goal-driven entrepreneurs and practitioners using robotics and automation technology to solve challenging real-world problems such as shortage of labour, an ageing society, and creating sustainable environments.


CHART will be one of the locations for the Technical Tours.

Tech Factor Challenge 2016

Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) and SPRING Singapore, supported by CHART, is launching the third Tech Factor Challenge 2016, a competition to spur innovation through the creative application of technology to solve real-world issues. Currently in its third edition, Tech Factor Challenge 2016 offers participants the opportunity to translate their ideas into commercially viable prototypes, and help kick-start their entrepreneurship journey.


This year’s theme will focus on developing technology applications that can help our elders age-in-place, with two challenge categories for participants to choose from - the Mobility Challenge, and the Smart H2 (Home & Health) Challenge. The Mobility Challenge aims to improve mobility for the elderly, while the Smart H2 Challenge focuses on applications for safety, health and wellness management.
